Baggio!! Supremely skillful!. To do achieve what he did after being told that he wouldn't play again (after suffering a hideous injury as a teenager) and then go on to play, in pain, until he was 37 was incredible. His story would make a great movie.

Because of Baggio I started watching football. Because of Baggio, 10 is my favorite number. Maradona for me is the greatest football player of all time, but in Italy Baggio did more, he played all his life there, Maradona played 7 years.

Yes I 100% agree, Roberto Baggio the man was a genius a wizard of a player with devine skills with both feet truly the greatest, but he was injured for the 94 World Cup final, if only he could have scored that penalty then he would have won the World Cup and I believe he should have he is the greatest next to Maradona in my opinion 💯👑

Not only that but also Arrigo Sachi didnt call Bergomi. Bergomi, Baresi, Costacurta, Maldini almost impossible to enter in that defence And he always put Signori on the left side. Arrigo Sachi went to the final because Itália was great team. But lets not forget one thing... Dener died before the world Cup, he was amazing player from Brasil. Its hard to guess what real can happen

Nobody like Maradona. He played against the best defenses in the world, try to think of Milan of those times: Tassotti, Baresi, Costacurta and Maldini the best defense in the world of all time. Yet Maradona made her dance like chickens on a spit. Then Baggio the best Italian player and among the best world championships of all time.

@@dntino1340 i dont even say that Totti is better, I say he's more complete... Totti played at every position, on the wing, at AMF, as a central midfielder under L. Enrique and was a striker.. Baggio didnt... Totti was also strong with the back to goal and was scoring goals from 30yards because his shot was very powerful... Again, I'm not even saying that Totti is better but more complete

Yes, the rest may have won more. Yes, the rest may carry a more prominent profile in this era of spontaneity. With the exception of Maradona and perhaps maybe Manu coming a close third, no one comes close to the impact Baggio had, on a nation, on people who weren't even Italian, fans who didnt support the Viola, Juve, both the Milan teams or Brescia. Put your hand on your heart, the one player who genuinely gave you this joy that maybe you just might win it all when he played was Robby Baggio, even the times when his supporting cast weren't all that great, he still looked utterly capable of dragging any team to glory. When heavens sing, the harmonies take its shape in the way his legs move, there is no subsitute, Baggio was that angel on (and off) the pitch. Football, calcio has never seen anything alike, with the sole exception of Messi, even that boy had supportive coaches and a host of world-class players backing him. Dear Baggio, the one and only Il Divin Codino, your skills are missed.
