I think it's great that others are making goals too. It raises the confidence of the whole team.

Do you know the criteria for the ballon d'or? Basically it sums up the most important amd best player of a civil year. Ronaldo was crucial for RM's champions league title and has a lot of goals in 2018. Messi has a lot as well but was not decisive, not for something of much importance, only la liga title. And I don't mean to put Messi down. He has been having a good year but it does not deserve him the Ballon d'or, for the reasons stated above. I won't even talk about Modric. About the 3 french men (Varane, Mbappé and Griezmann). Neither was decisive in their titles and that counts a lot. France simply has the best team at the moment. Following the criteria of the award and being objective about the decision there's only one fair outcome for this - 6th ballon d'or for Ronaldo.
